Known for her blonding, she specializes in soft, seamless blonde grow-outs that make maintenance a breeze. Her passion for the industry has taken her to top hair shows and advanced training classes around the world, continually inspiring her craft and keeping her work fresh, modern, and elevated.

Josh began his career as an apprentice in downtown Ann Arbor in 2010 and has since mastered the art of men’s cuts, all-over color, and highlighting. In 2020, he opened Roya Beauty with co-owner Amanda, bringing his vision of a modern, inclusive salon to life. While he thrives
in the world of salon ownership, he still pursues his craft behind the chair—combining creativity, precision, and a genuine love for the industry.
Brooklynn Butler

Brooklynn is all about creating sun-kissed, lived-in blondes that grow out beautifully and are easy to maintain. She specializes in weft and K-tip extensions—especially curly K-Tip—and was trained in-house by @theweftnerd. Whether she’s blonding or installing extensions, Brooklyn loves helping her clients feel confident and effortlessly styled. She’s also big on education, making sure every client knows how to care for their hair at home to keep their look going strong.

Erica has been behind the chair for over 20 years and educating fellow stylists for 15. After landing in Ann Arbor, she found her home at Roya Beauty, bringing her expertise in blonding, gray blending, rich brunettes and custom haircuts. Erica’s all about making people feel good—inside and out. She’s passionate about creating personalized experiences, building real connections, and keeping hair healthy and gorgeous. A lifelong learner, she’s always leveling up her skills and loves mentoring the next
